The new room is done!!!

This is the softest rug, I want one for my room!

I so wanted to paint this wood monstrosity to match the room, but since it was one of the last things Mike's dad built, he has forbid any changes to the shelf, so I had to pink and princess it up a bit! Oh well it holds ALOT of her treasures!

I LOVE this light!!! It makes the perfect fancy reading light to hang over her bed!

Her Barbie/American Girl area and her Vanity

Her favorite part of the room other than the polka dots is the jewel door knobs and drawer pulls

A true sign a little princess lives in this room...THE PINK COWGIRL BOOTS, waiting to go out and play!!!

Well except for me hanging her curtains back up! She has moved in, and seems perfectly happy in her new room! We set up her princess alarm clock so now she is getting herself up and dressed for school without my help. It is so nice that she is soooo independent, but where did my baby go???

Mikayla's Date w/ Dad at The American Girl Store

Look at these baby blues!

The dolls are ready for their date too!

It was so cute to see all the Dad's with their little princesses! Mike and Mikayla both had a great time. For Mike to actually say he would spend money to go again...Must have been good! They came out all smiles, and Mike's wallet came out a little lighter thanks to Mikayla's shopping!

Happy Valentines Day

All the cousins had date night at the skating rink. Kayla gets just a tad competitive! The top is Mikayla and Kimmiee during the races. Then Kayla does the Limbo.

And yet another tooth gone!

This is the most exciting thing going on lately! And she wants her picture taken after each tooth. This one she lost at school and she swallowed it with a chip at lunch!

Brushing the few she has left!

That thing where you brush the ones you want to keep doesn't seem to be working for her! They just keep coming out!

Running out of teeth to loose!

Another one bit the dust!

A new Christmas Kitty

Papa H.L. and Grammy Lisa sent her this sweet little kitten. I just love the pic of her giving the kitten a sweet kiss!!!

Christmas with Grandma Tish, Papa Bear and Amy

She was in Heaven when she opened the pink ipod From Grandma Tish and Papa Bear!!! She had been begging for one for months and was so upset that Santa had not brought it to her! I guess Santa's and Grandma's must co-ordinate gifts!!! And she also loved the itunes "credit cards" that Amy bought her! Reading a card from Grandma Monoo and very excited that Grandma Monoo had sent her College money to put in the bank!

Christmas Morning

She found all those crazy webkins hiding in the tree right off. She immediately lined them up and started naming them, and taking inventory! Opening the pink DS she had been begging for, for the past 12 months! The trumpet she "needed" (Boy do my ears and sanity regret that purchase!!!) And then Kayla giving Daddy the ice cream dish she made for him at the pottery store!

Christmas Eve

Opening her one Christmas eve surprise her new American Girl Doll Julie. She wanted this doll so badly! Also the tree after Santa had made his visit...He had hidden about 20 webkins in the tree. The silly old Santa! And my sleeping princess just couldn't quite stay awake until Santa came.

Breakfast in bed!

Mikayla loves to get up early on the weekends, and has just started trying to make Mommy and Daddy breakfast in bed! This one was really cute, and creative...Grapeman! She was so proud of this breakfast she made for me. She had sliced up a banana and peeled a clementine and with grapes made our new breakfast buddy "Grapeman"!!!

Mikayla and the cousins annual Christmas Cookie Decorating party

So much fun and this just proves to me every year that I have lost my mind!!! But the kids are all smiles while they are working on their cookies. Isn't that what it is supposed to be all about?

Mikayla---An American Girl Trip in November

It all started when the American Girl catalog came in the mail! Anyone who knows Kayla knows that dolls are far from her favorite toy. So when she started saying she wanted this doll I said NO! They are very expensive, much to expensive to sit in her room and collect dust! She kept on saying this was the doll she wanted so I gave in and finally told her if SHE saved the money, she could buy the doll for herself. And that is just what she did. After buying her own moped this summer she started saving for her doll. The store has an event they put on called "Memories with Mom" so We made plans with our good friends Kathy and Nina to attend the event and this would be the day we purchased the much anticipated doll! Kayla had managed to save up nearly $200.00 by then so she had plenty for her doll and lots of accesories.
The girls had a blast, it is a very nice event with a meal, craft, flowers, pictures, and just plain good bonding time for Mommies and their Angels.
We have made reservations for the "Date with Dad" around Valentines Day and Kayla and I will be going back for another "Memories with Mom" the weekend of her Birthday. So much fun!!!

Thanksgiving with the family

This year we invited all the usual victims! Annie Annie and the cousins Kimmiee, Dakota, and Ashley. Uncle Poopy (Bob), Grandma Barb and Dedee. With the addition of Cousin Ciera, Jim oldest daughter and Angela!
We loved seeing Ciera again, and Mikayla worships the ground she walks on! Ciera is just the coolest thing ever---she has a cell phone and a car---even though it is not a pink car OR phone, still apparently it ranks pretty high on Kayla's list of really cool things!
Ciera considers the idea of borrowing the Hannah Montana moped to take off to college before she got her car, so she had to take it out for a spin to see how it rides!!!
The kids spent the day playing with the balloon dart throw and the pine derby car races. They all magically won trophies for their races and cars, except for Uncle Poopy and Daddy who got disqualified for being bad sports and cheating!!!
